Yeah, really!
I had to sew buttons back onto my mom's (mine now! mwahaha) leather trenchcoat. No, really, it is mine now. She gave it to me. It's a rust color and when I put it on and close it all the way I feel like some detective. XD A cool female detective who wears red leather trenchcoats? We couldn't find the fedora. Darn.
How is it that I keep ending up with more and more shades of red in my wardrobe? Given that it's pretty much the opposite of my favorite color (if you don't know, turquoise blue/aqua/cerulean/cyan)... though honestly I don't DISlike red, no, not at all. Several of my favorite shirts over the years have been red. I used to wish I had red hair (or black hair. This was in elementary school.) and was thinking about it again a couple years ago. (right now I'm dreaming and waiting 'till it grows a little longer and having way too much trouble deciding.) So I can say I don't dislike red at all. It's just not my favorite color. But I keep ending up with more red... It doesn't really count for much against the other colors (mostly blues, black, and purple, some white, some pink, and whatever random colors I have or people give me.) but compared to last year it's quite a difference.
I want black boots. I want them very much. Why are they so hard to find? No, I know I can go to a shoe store and there will be black boots. But...
Ever since I was little I've had an appreciation for the following: Hi-top sneakers, black, knee-high boots. Among other things, of course. I came to this realization one day in a shoe store when they didn't have hi-tops aaanywhere and are you kidding about those boots? Kiddo, it's spring and boot's ain't gonna be comin' round for another two seasons.
I really wanted that stuff. And I never did get the hi-tops 'till last year. Sad, or what? That's half my life looking and wishing for money. I had some knee-high boots until I outgrew them... but since then, no. Cannot do. Cannot find. Why is it so darn hard to find BLACK KNEE-HIGH BOOTS that are not 4-inch stiletto heels, do not have a toe likely to stab someone's eye out, are not fake-snake, and... just WHY??!
Is it too much to ask for a plain pair of low-heel (or no heel), round-toed (or even softly squared), knee-high (NOT ankle or calf) non-slouchboot (plz? I've got two pairs of brown slouch boots* already. Don't need more, it'll go out of style soon.) good-fitting BLACK BOOTS? C'mon... really?
I haven't seen 'em. Have you?
Oh, sure, NOW the kids' section gets all the cute hi-top sneakers.
*Hey, if you see something for $5 at a yard sale and it's in style and is comfortable, buy away, ya know?
I love used clothing. You can find some real treasures there.
...I believe I just made an entire entry about my wardrobe... and my unfortunate lack of boots. I am like, so like, totally self absorbed. (I can do a pretty decent valleygirl/dumb stereotypical cheerleader. XD I love imitating accents. I don't like imitating accents in front of other people (or even out loud) because I have an inferiority complex. Yeah, I said it. I rant about everything because I'm hoping that someone will actually care, but I don't really think anyone does. I'm not nearly as good as the other people here or there. It's not PERFECT! Inferiority and perfectionism... gah. That's not the only reason why I think I do, though.) Like, not!
P.S. I want two pairs of knee high boots. One to lace up the front (like combat boots?) and one to have a zipper in the back or side or lace up the back.
